Injuries
Dr J Odom was asked to provide a brief description of Tsarnaev's injuries prior to Tsarnaev's first court appearance (beside hearing) on 04/22/2013:
"He has multiple gun shot wounds to the extremities that have been treated with dressings to the lower extremities, and in the case of his left hand, he had multiple bony injuries as well that were treated with fixation and soft tissue coverage, as well as tendon repair and vascular ligation."
Sixteen separate gunshot and serious puncture type wounds, including bullet/puncture wounds to both legs, back, collar bone, face, neck, hand and both arms.. He also suffered numerous soft tissue injuries and burns caused by being in close proximity to the stun grenades.
2013 was the year of an appalling terrorist attack at the Boston marathon finish line that claimed the lives of three innocent people and injured hundreds more.
It was also the year that saw the unarmed teenager suspected of that crime hunted down and shot like a wild animal without any explanation ever being provided as to why.
